My client, a private, Christian non-profit organization dedicated to healthcare and hospitality is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant  to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for a CPA professional, a proactive individual eager to contribute to a progressive organization undergoing significant expansion, with the goal of advancing into an Assistant Director of Finance role.

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the monthly accounting process, preparing financial statements, and contributing to budget and cash forecasting. You will also assist with crucial board and banking reports. This position is designed for growth, offering increasing exposure to higher-level operations and direct collaboration with the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities :

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including adjusting entries and reconciliations.

Produce accurate and reliable monthly financial statements, including consolidated reconciliations

Prepare and submit working papers and schedules for year-end audits, and participate in the coordination and planning of the annual audit.

Oversee AP, AR, and payroll general ledger imports, ensuring all financial functions are accurately reconciled monthly.

Prepare and maintain organizational cashflows and cash positions.

Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, collaborating with management and operations

Maintain strong financial internal controls and contribute to developing improvements.

Assist with policy development and implementation.

Support system implementation projects.

Qualifications :

CPA designation or have written CFE is required

3+ years of experience and must have industry experience

Long-term care, not-for-profit, or healthcare experience is an asset

Self-starter, independent, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
