Job description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to oversee and manage commercial projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Superintendents are ultimately responsible for managing all daily construction activities on their site.
  • Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget
  • Prepare progress reports and issue progress schedules to clients.
  • Oversee day-to-day field activities. Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.

Qualifications :

  • The individual will need to demonstrate experience in commercial, retail petroleum, or light industrial construction
  • Minimum of 3+ years of Superintendent level work experience on projects in the $1 - $10 million range
  • Must have computer skills and effective typing, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Have the capacity to learn and become proficient in a variety of technologies
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements
  • Willingness to travel out of town is an asset
