About the job
Franke Home Solutions is seeking a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead national retail account growth across Canada. This role owns strategic relationships with major Big Box and home improvement retailers, driving revenue, market share, and profitable expansion within the kitchen solutions category.
The Sales Manager serves as the primary commercial lead for assigned accounts, ensuring alignment between customer strategy and Franke’s operational execution. Extensive travel within Canada is required, with occasional U.S. travel.
Your tasks
- Lead national account strategy for major Canadian Big Box and home improvement retailers, driving revenue, distribution growth, assortment expansion, and promotional performance.
- Develop and execute joint business plans, managing pricing, margins, forecasting, and volume targets to achieve profitability goals.
- Build strong relationships with senior buyers, category managers, merchandising leaders, and field stakeholders to ensure alignment and in-store execution.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Product Management, and Manufacturing to ensure accurate forecasting, inventory planning, and timely program execution.
- Lead new product launches, rollout initiatives, and training support while ensuring launch readiness across accounts.
- Monitor account performance metrics, address service or product issues, and implement corrective actions with clear communication to internal and external partners.
- Oversee reporting requirements and maintain effective coordination with third-party service providers.
- Represent Franke at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events, while monitoring competitive activity and market trends within the Canadian retail landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (relevant experience may substitute).
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience, preferably within the Big Box or retail channel.
- Demonstrated success managing national retail accounts in Canada.
- Experience working with distribution models and direct sourcing programs.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of retail sales strategy, merchandising, and channel development.
- Solid business acumen with experience in forecasting, pricing, and margin management.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial and performance analysis.
- Ability to interpret contracts, sales reports, and operational data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident presenting to senior leadership.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems.
- Valid passport and ability to travel extensively within North America.
