Field Operator (Pipeline Operator / Facility Operator) to support safe, compliant, and cost-effective operations within pipeline and midstream facilities.
In this role, you will manage the daily operations of pipeline systems, pump stations, storage tanks, LACT units, and oil & gas facilities, while working closely with control room operators, maintenance teams, and engineering staff.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with oil and gas field operations experience, particularly in pipeline gathering systems, compression, and terminal operations.
- Pay Rate: $42.00 - $ 58.00/hour
- Location: Cold Lake, AB
- Shift: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off (10-Hour Shifts)

Responsibilities: - Operate and monitor pipeline facilities, pump stations, terminals, and LACT units
- Conduct daily operational rounds, inspections, and compliance checks
- Troubleshoot production, mechanical, and technical issues in the field
- Collaborate with control room operations, engineering, and maintenance teams
- Support maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution of field work
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and corporate policies
- Participate in hazard identification, incident investigations, and safety programs
- Maintain accurate records using SAP, Intelex, and operational systems
- Assist with facility balancing, measurement verification, and reporting
- Develop and execute work plans including LOTO procedures, isolations, and outages
Qualifications and Skills: - Experience in oil & gas operations, pipeline systems, or midstream facilities (asset)
- Strong knowledge of pipeline operations, gathering systems, and compression
- Experience using SAP and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently in remote field environments
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing (safety-sensitive role)
- Strong focus on safety and risk management in oil & gas operations
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet operational deadlines
- Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Adaptability in high-pressure, fast-changing environments
- Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
