Location : Red Deer, AB

Are you excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment? If so, then Prairie Bus Lines has the perfect opportunity for you!

Prairie Bus Lines is seeking a full-time Dispatcher to join our team in Red Deer. Dispatchers are primarily responsible for scheduling drivers, providing tactful and professional telephone and radio assistance, and administrative duties. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 6 : 30 am to 2 : 30 pm. The Dispatcher would be alternating on-call every other weekend.

Qualifications :

  • Excellent customer service skills, proven ability to serve the public and relate to coworkers in a courteous, helpful manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, intuitive and empathetic listening skills
  • Strong telephone etiquette
  • Very organized
  • Strong computer skills and knowledgeable of Microsoft Programs
  • Ability to multi-task, work effectively under pressure and as a part of a team
  • Clear criminal record
  • Valid Alberta driver's license; class 2S license considered an asset
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Good map reading skills with a strong knowledge of Red Deer and surrounding areas

Remuneration will be dependent on training and experience.
