What you’ll be doing:
As a Graphics Packaging Coordinator, you will ensure the effective implementation of graphic changes on the packaging of Liberté and Yoplait products; ensuring compliance with regulatory, marketing, and industrial requirements. Draft, update, and adhering to compliance with the technical specifications of packaging (primary, secondary, tertiary), ensuring their alignment with product, industrial, regulatory, and logistical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Management of Graphic Change Projects:
- Lead projects for the update or creation of packaging (recipe changes, marketing claims, regulatory changes, evolution of graphic standards, etc.).
- Plan and monitor the various stages of the graphic process (briefing, design, validation, printing).
- Evaluate industrial and logistical impacts (existing stocks, planning for factory transitions).
2. Coordination of Stakeholders:
- Act as an interface between the marketing, quality, regulatory, production, and purchasing departments and graphic agencies.
- Coordinate exchanges with printers and suppliers of primary and secondary packaging.
- Organize project follow-up meetings and ensure smooth flow of information.
- Responsible for coordinating and providing blank packaging materials to be used in samples.
3. Artwork Validation:
- Ensure that packaging complies with food regulatory standards (mandatory mentions, allergens, nutritional labeling, etc.).
- Confirm the accuracy of technical drawings to be used for project packaging. Ensure compliance with marketing briefs and brand standards.
- Convert standard/supplier technical drawings to YLCC standards and produce PDF and electronic versions.
- Act as the main contact and participate in graphic validation stages to provide precise information to meet the graphic needs of projects.
- Approve final samples of projects, confirming the accuracy of the technical drawings used and compliance with all compatibility guidelines for various production lines.
- Provide advice on the recycling logo to be used on samples.
- If necessary, contact R&D engineers/packaging technical engineers to confirm the impact of samples on compatibility with packaging lines (sensor readings, readability of expiration codes, fruit matrix, etc.).
4. Support for Production and Supply Chain:
- Work with industrial teams to plan packaging transitions without disrupting production lines.
- Ensure the management of packaging transitions in relation to logistics and commercial forecasts.
- Monitor manufacturing and delivery timelines for new packaging.
- Provide additional support to R&D engineers for industrial trials.
5. Traceability and Documentation:
- Support the creation, maintenance, and updating of the database for raw materials and packaging specifications.
- Keep the database of technical drawings up to date and organized.
- Ensure full traceability of changes (versions, dates, reasons for changes).
- Responsible for coordinating and providing blank packaging materials to be used in samples.
- Serve as a point of contact for communication of changes and the latest versions of packaging specifications to suppliers.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of artwork processes (standardization, digitalization, etc.).
Required Skills:
Technical:
- Knowledge of food packaging materials (films, labels, trays, cartons, etc.).
- Mastery of printing processes (flexography, gravure, offset, etc.).
- Understanding of food labeling regulations (INCO, claims, etc.).
- Experience with artwork management tools (e.g., Esko, PLM, SAP, etc.).
- Knowledge of design software like AutoCAD or similar.
Organizational:
- Rigor, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Project management and interdepartmental coordination skills.
Interpersonal:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and unite around a common goal.
Profile Sought:
- DEC in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in the food industry.
- Professional English (communication with international suppliers).
