Electrical Engineering Assistant at AtkinsRéalis

Responsibilities
- Prepare technical documents such as engineering drawings, change paper markups, calculations, design / analysis reports, design manuals, bill of materials, design specifications, technical specifications, component specification sheets, commissioning specifications, and other documentation.
- Coordinate and interface with client(s), suppliers, stakeholders, and other design disciplines to execute assigned engineering work.
- Participate in review of interfacing discipline's documentation.
- Prepare or assist preparation of scope of work and input to bid proposals.
- Perform field walk‑downs during different design phases and prepare walk‑down reports as required.
- Assist field construction and execution activities, including field changes, design revisions, commissioning, AFS, closeout, and related tasks.
- Identify, recommend, and implement continuous process improvements.
- Communicate effectively with Design Engineers and Technical Leads to ensure electrical requirements are fully understood.
- Implement and maintain project support systems (configuration management, document management, and change control) for the tooling department.
- Provide site support and perform tool maintenance services.
- Prepare documentation such as work orders, test procedures, reports, operation manuals, and change requests.
About You
Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or an equivalent degree recognized by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).Eligible to be registered as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.Basic knowledge and experience of CANDU nuclear electrical power systems is considered an asset.Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as CSA 22.1, the Canadian Electrical Code Part I, and the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).Fundamental technical knowledge to resolve engineering issues or technical problems.Excellent communication and technical writing skills with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, clients, and contractors.Demonstrated experience working safely and within a quality program.Shift work (days / afternoons / nights).Benefits & Rewards
