Job Responsibilities : POSITION SUMMARY : The Systems Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving Formet's information and production systems to support business functions and user requirements. They ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of in-house information systems. Utilizing strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, the Systems Administrator identifies, communicates, and resolves system issues to optimize and enhance Formet's Information Systems. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR : University Degree / College Diploma in a related computer science program or information systems. Minimum 1 year of experience in IT Support / Helpdesk role. YOUR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience working in automotive manufacturing, an asset DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction activities. Setup and configure Microsoft Office 365 environment. Setup of Windows 10 / 11, Linux systems, and android systems environments. Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco network system. Configure Active directory Remote support tools and ticketing systems. Maintain wired and wireless network systems. Install and configure printers, and other peripherals ie. Scanners. Troubleshooting TCPIP networks, DHCP, DNS configuration. Continuously challenge past practices by actively exploring and implementing new solutions and methodologies to improve the quality and time to market of our product and services to the company. Maintain extremely high ethical standards regarding all sensitive data that you may be exposed to. Acts as a helpdesk support resource for all hardware, software and system issues. (After hours, calls will be handled by the rotating on-call person.) Help train and support users on new applications, changes, upgrades and / or recommend external training resources and co-ordinate effective training schedules. Both participate in and facilitate departmental cross training on a day-to-day basis to provide the best possible support and protection of Formet’s operations by fostering a learning environment of sharing project, business, and technical knowledge with all other team members. Participate in benchmarking, research, planning, design, and implementation of new technologies. Analyze, evaluate, co-ordinate, implement, manage and support the day-to-day maintenance of all IT hardware and systems as directed by your Area Leader and Senior Staff in accordance with departmental standards. Handle the administration / setup of network accounts following departmental procedures and security protocol. Ensure system reliability through redundancy, backups, security, anti-virus, firewall, etc. Responsible for documenting procedures, problems and their resolutions. Install and utilize network and server monitoring software across varying technologies. Communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams. Flex and adapt regarding learning and understanding new technologies. Conduct research into systems related issues and products. Prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Perform other duties as designated. Salary Team Member Benefits : Weekly pay via direct deposit. Overtime (1.5x) after 44 hours worked. Vacation entitlement : 2 weeks of paid vacation (3 weeks after 3 years) + 4 company paid holidays + 2x ½ days = 15 days annually. Option to bank your overtime to earn up to an extra 5 days of paid time off (approved in the same manner as vacation time) (27 hours x 1.5 = 40 hours).
