We are a family in Kanata, Ontario seeking a full time nanny to help care for our children. The position involves primarily looking after our primary school-aged kids, with some light housekeeping duties, meal preparation. Ideally picking up the kids from school at 4 : 30pm (which is 2 minutes from our house) would be great.
We have a pool so please be comfortable with supervising swimming (it’s a shallow pool).
The role is a live-out or live in position, ideally live out but we are flexible and have a bedroom available with its own bathroom
We have a 10 year old boy with autism and a 7 year old boy. Our autistic son can take care of himself but he is not conversational. He’s a loving boy, loves attention but needs help with social cues. Both kids need help with homework, smart boys but need direction. we have 2 labs, who are very friendly, but please be comfortable with dogs.
We don't allow our kids iPads or Youtube but they can play Nintendo for a few an hour or so a day
The ideal candidate should have experience with young children and be comfortable with pets.
Monday-Thursday each week 1pm - 6 : 00pm
Duties include, but not limited to :
Cook dinner daily and clean up dishes
Washing / drying / folding and putting away laundry
Changing out sheets on beds every week
Cleaning home
Maintaining Cleanliness throughout the home over time once a schedule has been established
Organizing drawers / closets etc
Decorating for holidays / taking down decorations
Preparing a meal plan
Picking up groceries (not to worry about this until you have a car)
Keep pool deck in order in the summer months (cushions etc on furniture)
Looking for someone to maintain and care for the home as if it was their own! Take initiative to see what needs to be done and implement, let me know when things are running low so we can restock.
