RBC is seeking a dedicated Financial Advisor to attract, nurture, and grow relationships with high‑value personal and small business clients. You will provide proactive, professional advice and collaborate with RBC partners to help clients achieve their goals and key life events.
Mobility
Successful candidates must be able to travel and work from any RBC location listed in the job posting. Mobility between branch locations is a condition of employment.
What will you do?
- Consistently demonstrate empathy and take the time to understand client circumstances, motivations and concerns.
- Communicate effectively to uncover client needs, deliver client‑centric advice and provide solution recommendations at first point of contact.
- Use your own advice capabilities and those of the RBC ecosystem to meet clients' entire suite of personal and business financial needs.
- Provide professional advice and education, addressing complex credit and investments with solutions appropriate to client needs and circumstances.
- Champion digital enablement by proactively educating clients to self‑serve while delivering advice through digital and face‑to‑face channels.
- Leverage technology to connect with clients both virtually and in person.
- Implement effective contact and relationship‑building strategies that accelerate new client acquisition and retention in the local community.
- Collaborate with market‑leading professionals in financial planning, retirement planning, mortgages, and business banking to ensure clients receive customized, relevant, expert advice.
What do you need to succeed?
Must‑have
Valid mutual funds accreditation (Investment Funds in Canada or Canadian Securities Course).Completion of the Quebec Certificate of Achievement in Personal Finance, Investment and Taxation Fundamentals, and Insurance and Retirement (Canadian Securities Institute).1–2 years of proven sales experience in financial services, handling credit and investments.Demonstrated ability to build trust and maintain long‑term client relationships.Digital literacy across smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.Bilingualism in English and French, with regular client interaction in both languages.Nice‑to‑have
