JOB DESCRIPTION
As the Francophone Social Media Coordinator you will help shape and execute our French-first digital content and social media strategy, while working closely with multiple departments to ensure French marketing materials are utilizing accurate Gatineau-facing French language.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Contributes to and executes the English and French social media strategy.
- Manages the review of large portions of translated materials and ensure the French being used is optimized for the Gatineau-region.
- Creates still assets for digital, social and editorial distribution.
- Supports sponsorship and marketing activations through social and digital platforms.
- Coordinate work with French content creators and ambassadors to amplify social media engagement strategies.
- Assists in maintaining the French and English social media calendars.
- Assists with creative requests and French asset delivery for social media and digital channels.
- Tracks French content against KPIs, identifying trends and best practices.
- Captures and reflects insights from Francophone fan sentiment to club / player narratives to help drive content creation.
- Provides real-time French coverage of games and events.
- Recognize and react to real-time, emerging trends and current events to create content for distribution across social channels.
- Maintain digital content libraries and social media tools to stay current with evolving platforms.
- Performs the role with a level of ‘almost always on’ approach to digital and social media.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
An ability to think, write and work in French with a deep understanding of the Gatineau community and reflects that into marketing and content materials delivered through social media, web and emails.Passion for and experience in social media marketing, with strong understanding of trends and best practices.Ability to take translations and re-write into our Brand and regional Francophone voice.Ability to review a high volume of organic, paid, email and other digital content for accuracy and tone.Knowledge of the Senators and the team’s athletes and personalities.Photography and videography experience preferred.Ability to work independently and thrive in a multi-task, fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Hardworking and self-motivated.Ability to maintain confidential information.Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and / or InDesign and editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro or After Effects is an asset.Working knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays.Ability to maintain confidential information.Passion for social media marketing, with strong understanding of French trends and Francophone best practices.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
