We are actively looking for an Engineer Officer 2nd Class to carry out operations and mechanical maintenance on tugs, dredges and other ships in the Ocean Group fleet.
The operations of the floating staff will be carried out either in the various harbour operation sites and / or in the maintenance unit depending on the operational needs.
The floating staff members will therefore have to travel to the various sites. The incumbent may also have to work in collaboration with the different managers for various needs in terms of the mechanical maintenance of the fleet.
WHY GET ON BOARD?
YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES :
- Act as a mechanical officer on the various vessels;
- Maintain the main engine and auxiliary equipment;
- Operate and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and refuelling equipment;
- Operate and maintain refrigeration, ventilation and air conditioning equipment;
- Follow up on preventive maintenance system (SINEX) tasks;
- Operate lifting equipment, dismantle and reassemble machinery and handle equipment;
- Participate in major mechanical repairs (dry dock);
- Check and repair machinery and report on equipment for inspection by regulatory bodies;
- Apply handover practices during maintenance and operations;
- Assist the Services et maintenance Océan (SMO) team in the maintenance of daily tasks;
- Maintain up-to-date health and safety training compliance;
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
OUR IDEAL COLLEAGUE HAS :
- Marine Engineer 2nd Class (Motor) certificate;
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience at sea as an engineer;
- Positive leadership, responsible, autonomous, motivated by teamwork and punctual;
- Analytical skills for problem-solving and troubleshooting;
- Certificate of Competence : MED Basic Safety STCW;
- Valid Marine Medical Certificate;
- Certificate of Competence in Lifeboat and rescue boat operations other than fast rescue boats;
- Advanced Firefighting Techniques Certificate;
- Restricted Radio Operator Certificate (asset);
- Availability to travel frequently to the different sites of operation;
- Ability to work on a computer in a Microsoft Office environment;
- Languages : intermediate level in French and English, oral and written.
