About the Position :

We are seeking highly skilled and dynamic educators to join our Teachers Teaching on Call (TTOC) and Temporary Teacher pool.

Our TTOCs and temporary teachers enjoy working in a vibrant and growing district where employment opportunities for teachers are expected to continue into the future.

We invite applications from generalists and specialists-elementary, middle, and secondary-who can demonstrate currency of practice, excellent interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic, with proven knowledge of the BC curriculum.

Specialists include French Immersion, Learning Assistance, Resource, and Secondary Subject experts.

Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach in a wide variety of settings and who are available full-time.

Core Responsibilities :

Provide quality instruction across various schools and settings as a Teachers Teaching on Call or temporary teacher.

Implement the BC curriculum in a manner that engages students and fosters a positive learning environment.

Work collaboratively with school staff, students, and families to ensure the success and well-being of students.

Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, supporting inclusive education principles.

Maintain professionalism and a strong work ethic while demonstrating flexibility and responsiveness to the needs of each assignment.

Salary Range : $315.93 - $469.99 per day (depending on qualifications and experience)

Relocation Support :

Successful applicants relocating from outside the province of British Columbia will be eligible for the reimbursement of relocation expenses to a maximum of $2,000.

Qualifications :

Valid BC Teaching Certificate and membership in the BC Teachers’ Regulation Branch.

Proven ability to teach a wide range of grade levels and subjects.

Strong knowledge of the BC curriculum and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.

Demonstrated ability to teach in diverse and inclusive settings, adapting instruction to meet varied student needs.
