Compensation: $34.84 to $40.34 hourly

Our client, a non-profit organization is seeking a Controller for a long term, hybrid contract. In this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to district financial support, budgeting and reporting and auditing financial journals. The Controller is in a stand-alone role and will be responsible for reviewing and approving month end entries, overall budgets, and financial statements. The Controller will also ensure compliance with accounting regulations and adhere to Ministry/Government expectations. The Controller will be expected to travel to various locations and manage their own schedule effectively, while also being present in the office 2/5 days per week.

Job Requirements:

3+ years in a similar role

CPA designation or equivalent

Non-profit experience an asset

Solid understanding of general accounting principles

Comfortable with in-house ERP system, MS Excel and technology

Respect the values and vision of the non-profit organization

Able to communicate and explain financials to stakeholders and support staff

Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Valid Ontario Driver’s License (driving required)
