Responsibilities

  • Lead and support data migration activities for IFS, including extraction, cleansing, mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with functional IFS teams to align migration logic with business and system requirements.
  • Develop and optimize SQL, PL / SQL, and T‑SQL code to support enterprise data workflows across Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Build data pipelines, monitor them, and troubleshoot operational or data issues.
  • Review existing operational data, research open issues, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams on new and ongoing projects.
  • Design tools and infrastructure to analyze large volumes of data.
  • Assist the team with troubleshooting, root analysis, and thorough defect resolution when problems arise.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the organization.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark, data modeling, ETL / ELT processes, and data integration using Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong SQL experience with Oracle and SQL Server, including query tuning and analysis.
  • Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and querying on Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Purview).
  • Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI / CD experience.
  • Strong understanding of data pipeline engineering and big data design principles.
  • Experience with database, data warehouse, or data lake solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into language for all stakeholders.
