YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
Reporting to the Vice President, Exploration, and working closely with the Regional Finance Superintendents and the Exploration Directors in Canada, you will be part of the Exploration Department and collaborate with various Agnico Eagle projects across Canada. You will also work in collaboration with the global exploration divisions and the head office. You will ensure thatobjectivesare met while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, the Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and environmental standards.
- Beresponsible forconsolidatingthe budget, quarterly forecasts, and scenario>
- Consolidateand compile financial data from various divisions (Québec, Nunavut, Ontario, Head Office);
- Ensure, in collaboration with the relevant departments, thatinyearchanges are accurately reflected in the various financial planningexercises;
- Performbudget varianceanalysis;
- Maintainand develop internal tools to support departments in proactive cost management and performanceindicators;
- Participatein the preparation of monthly operational reports and quarterly operationalpresentations;
- Producefinancial analyses relevant to understanding operationalresults;
- Contributeto the maintenance and development of the financial planning system (Hyperion);
- Collaboratewith the regional financeteamsonmonth-endandquarter-enddeliverables, including preparing journal entries andanalyses;
- Performall other related duties.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’sdegree inaccounting;
- Membershipor eligibility for membership in a recognized professional accounting association in Québec (CPA) is considered anasset;
- Three(3) years of relevantexperience;
- Stronginterpersonal skills and ease inteamwork;
- Excellentcommand of the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Power BI is considered anasset;
- Demonstratedautonomy, strongpriorityand stress managementskills;
- Strongattention to detail and commitment toquality;
- Bilingualin French and English.
The employee works fulltime on a 5/2 (8h) or 5/2–4/3 (9h) daytime schedule.
The position is based at the Malartic orVald’Orregional exploration office. Occasional travel isrequired.
