• Electrical Supervisor
• Further your career in your own backyard. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient and safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and components within assigned facilities.
• What you’ll do
• Install and perform preventive maintenance on all facility electrical equipment and components, programmable logic control systems and related equipment according to established maintenance guidelines.
• Receive, prioritize and respond to requests for electrical equipment and component repairs.
• Select and install various distribution panels, protective devices, fixtures and related equipment in accordance with electrical code requirements.
• Compile accurate, timely and legible administrative documents including time certificates, job completion reports, purchase orders and expense accounts, both manually and through the use of a computer.
• Keep an adequate inventory of electrical equipment and components, including ordering replacement stock, charging-out stock and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Train operations staff in safe working practices and the operation and care of electrical and related equipment.
• What you bring to the team
• Minimum of three (3) years of related electrical or mechanical experience, as a Journeyman electrician.
• Grade 12, or equivalent, supplemented with a provincial or Inter-Provincial Journeyperson Electrician Certificate.
• Ability to operate and maintain a light duty vehicle used to transport staff, tools and equipment.
• Time management skills
• Electrical or mechanical experience within a facility setting
• Proven ability to follow safe working practices
