Claims Assistant I, Data Retention

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including : experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented below is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

40,300 - 49,300

About the role

We’re looking for a Claims Assistant I, Data Retention to join our growing team! This is a contract position until December 31 2026.

You will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and front-line quality customer service in the settlement of insurance Claims.

What you'll do here :

Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives.

Manage file storage and retrieval process for closed files.

Provide various administrative support such as photocopying, scanning, etc.

Open new claims and assign appropriate claims adjusters.

Process, coordinate, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.

Process payments on claim files.

Identify process improvements to management.

What you bring to the table :

High School or College Diploma including business / administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.

1 year of work experience.

Experience working with data entry and handling administrative tasks considered an asset.

Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed.

Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.

Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.

No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
