Security Guard

Base pay range: CA$18.00/hr - CA$18.00/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking highly motivated security professionals to provide exceptional security services across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, corporate, construction, and others. Candidates must demonstrate availability for casual, on-call shifts across various times, flexibility, and travel ability between multiple sites across the GTA.

Shift Timings

Varies (Days, Afternoons, Nights, and Weekends), preference for those who can work different shift types.

Responsibilities

• De-escalate tense situations by verbal communication using a variety of techniques designed to reduce risk.
• Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
• Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
• Unlock and lock doors for access by authorized persons, denying entry to anyone without authorization.
• Assist with coverages at various sites to enhance security at strategic locations.
• Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
• Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
• Perform foot patrols inside and outside the facility.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security License
• Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate
• G or G2 class driver's licence and a vehicle required to travel to the sites.
• 1 year security experience
• Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Effective communication skills.
