Job Duties Job Duties This position provides in-person instruction on the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Moose Jaw Campus.

  • Provide instruction to students enrolled in the Business programs.
  • Design and implement a student-centered classroom using an outcome-based approach.
  • Be flexible and responsive to learner needs through the use of appropriate instructional methodologies.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure an optimum learning environment.
  • Plan and deliver content and learning activities that reflect the values, beliefs, needs, and contributions of a culturally diverse community.
  • Provide appropriate evaluation, assessment, and feedback to students.
  • Respond to curriculum / course demands and make necessary adjustments according to learner needs such as adult learning principles.
  • Develop new curriculum as needed.
  • Be reflective of and responsive to accommodation of individual learning needs, including equity groups and diverse learners.
  • Where required, develop working relationships with appropriate external partners and employers, supporting students in working experience.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with employer and educational requirements.
  • Work co-operatively in an interdependent team environment.
  • Follow the policies and procedures adopted by Saskatchewan Polytechnic.
  • Attend program and school meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Specific Accountabilities Duties Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities (QSA)

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CA, CMA, CGA, CPA) (Canada).
  • Recent / relevant work experience (2 years in the last 5) in an accountancy related business environment.
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral).
  • Effective instructional ability.
  • Effective interpersonal, skills.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity.
  • Ability to work as a team member and foster teamwork
  • Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and / or the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
