Position Details

Position : Full-Time Security Guard

Site : Headwaters Health | 100 Rolling Hills Dr, Orangeville, ON L9W 6T6

Averaging Agreement : Employment Standards Act

Hours : Monday to Friday (1500-2300)

Payrate : $19.63 / hour

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds of hospital premises, including parking areas, hallways, patient rooms, entrances, and exits, to ensure safety and security.
• Operate security cameras and alarm systems, reporting any suspicious activity immediately to the appropriate authorities.
• Monitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas.
• Act quickly in emergency situations such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, or security threats. Assist hospital staff during crises and evacuations.
• Greet and assist visitors, patients, and hospital staff. Provide directions and ensure that guests adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
• De-escalate tense situations, resolve conflicts, and handle all interactions calmly and professionally.
• Document and report daily activities, incidents, security concerns, or accidents accurately.
• Work closely with hospital staff and local law enforcement to provide a coordinated security effort and ensure safety.
• Ensure that hospital policies, including visitor and patient protocols, are followed.
