JOB OVERVIEW

The Environmental and Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products and processes meet established quality standards and comply with environmental regulations. This dual role position involves conducting quality assessments, implementing quality control procedures, and managing environmental compliance programs. The analyst will work closely with various department to promote a culture or quality and sustainability within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct environmental audits to ensure complaints with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems and policies.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics, such as waste management, emissions, and resource use.
  • Assist in the development of sustainability initiatives and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulation (e.g., ISO 14001).
  • Provide training and support to staff on environmental practices and standards.
  • Performs inspections of production processes, and requirements to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
  • Build and develop quality assurance policies and procedures.
  • Analyze audit results and prepare detailed reports for management, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Monitor the implementation of corrective action and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in quality assurance practices.
  • May perform other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification in Quality Auditing or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Additional certification in environmental management (e.g., ISO 14001) and occupational safety (e.g., OSHA) are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experiences in quality assurance auditing, with experience in environmental and safety compliances preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong planning, problem solving, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, decision making, oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 : 2015, ISO14001 : 2015, ISO45001 and OSHA standards.
  • Proactive in identifying and addressing quality and environmental issues.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Must be able to commit to fixed day shift.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance
  • Experience in the aviation industry is considered an asset.
