RED SEAL INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIAN

Schedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)

YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

üTroubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;

üRegular predictive/preventative maintenance;

üServicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;

üUse computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;

üClean and perform routine maintenance work.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

üBC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician Certification

üExperience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;

üStrong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);

üPossessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and/or HVAC in addition would be an asset.
