Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) is a global team supporting the delivery of quality verification for all EA game development studios.

We are looking for an Operations Manager, reporting to the Development Director of Operations (Sports Quality Verification), partnering with Sports QV leaders and the existing operations team, to help plan and control our operational activities. Our size and global reach requires prioritization, focus and the ability to switch context multiple times a day. You will need to be collaborative and excel at working with multiple partners and deliverables simultaneously. You will need to have robust analytical capabilities and the experience to use data as a resource

  • The role responsibilities : You will work with the Development Director of Operations, and partner with Sports QV leaders to understand overall headcount and budget including : financial impact, chargeback variance, location strategy and focused resource analysis. Support quarterly forecasting process, actuals vs forecast analysis. Oversee goals development and tracking according to our strategic roadmap Implement measurements that track discipline performance, delivery, and financial status to find and address core risks to our business and partner teams. Monitor progress against targets and identify areas for improvement. Identify opportunities for improvement within our essential processes, align with partners, and implement. Use data and insights as a resource to guide efficient decisions across our business. Provide necessary oversight and support in the execution of essential QVS day to day operational responsibilities. This role does not have direct managerial responsibilities though it will have dotted line oversight of our product operations group

What you bring :

  • Your experience using data and business expertise to inform decisions.
  • Autonomous work-style needing minimal management oversight to remove blockers, address incidents
  • Experience developing measures that track discipline performance, delivery, and financial status to find and address core risks to our business and partner teams.
  • Experience with process improvement and automation tools.
  • Proficient governance, change management and partner management skills.
  • The ability to track, model and present information in engaging ways
  • Experience in budgeting and / or resource forecasting
  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in operations management or a related field.
  • BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

    The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

    BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) :
  • 115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

    Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI / QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental / adoption leave), extended health / dental / vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
