AR Clerk (Cash Application)

Our client in the professional services space is looking to add an Accounts Receivable Clerk focusing on cash application. This is a full-time / permanent role.Additional details : -Full benefits + RRSP matching-3 weeks vacation + personal days-Hybrid work model (2 days on site)Responsibilities : -Accurately posting incoming payments (including cheques, wires, cash, and credit card transactions). -Investigating unidentified payments received, and supporting similar investigations for other offices as needed.-Accessing client accounts payable portals to monitor and reconcile payment activity.-Coordinating the return of client overpayments, subject to appropriate approvals.-Maintaining records of receipts and managing the credit card remittance mailbox, while responding to client inquiries regarding remittance advice.-Processing accounts receivable write-offs following company policy.-Handling the processing and reconciliation of credit card transactions.-Tracking unapplied and suspense funds to ensure proper allocation.-Reallocating payments received for other accounts to the appropriate accounts.-Preparing the daily Cash to Accounts Receivable report.-Completing electronic funds transfer setup forms for the local office.-Serving as a point of contact for client payment-related questions.Qualifications : -5+ years of relevant experience working in a professional services setting-Post-secondary education in a related discipline, or equivalent work experience-Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French and English is highly advantageous-Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel-Strong analytical abilities and exceptional attention to detail-Ability to meet deadlines, effectively prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing demands-Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skillsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
