Responsibilities
Ensure that the project is compliant with the contract, the system requirements and the local electrical regulationsDesign and instruct subcontractor designer to route cables within the technical rooms and along the track system, managing filling ratio, existing pathways challenging, proposing new pathways etc.Manage and seek resolution of the technical Interfaces between the engineering installation works and technological Systems / subsystemsEnsure the application of quality procedures for the emissions of the documents at every stage of the designInterface with the civil designer to make sure the integrated design can be implementedIdentify the critical issues in the development of the project, especially during the interfaces, and propose mitigation actionsRepresent the Installation engineering team and support the design choices with all stakeholdersAbility to work in a BIM environment as part of the project delivery strategy, according to the BIM Execution Plan.Size pathways and raceway, considering the subsystems' designDesign management of contractors and sub-contractor activities : contract requirements and design processes-controlEducation and experience
Electrical Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background5 -10 year experience of Electrical Works in the Railway Engineering contextExperience in the area of construction and installation Design.Additional expertise in the railways contexts is considered as a plus.Previous experience in construction is a plus.Solid experience in transit in context with managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within the technical rooms.Operative competencies
Ability to identify, understand and overcome installation challenging when developing the designFamiliar with Requirement Traceability Matrix and the Interface Registers tools.Attention to detail and deadlinesSelf-motivatedAbility to adapt well to change in direction and prioritiesAbility to work in a project and deadline-oriented environmentAbility to stay organized and maintain project recordsTeam playerMust be able to proficiently use Revit, Aconex, Bluebeam and Microsoft Office (Word / Excel)Autodesk Revit or 3D software are a plusWritten and verbal English communication skillsEOE / F / M / D / V
