Process Technologist
Location : Belleville, Ontario Department : Compliance / R&D Reports To : Site Manager
About the Role
Soltex Canada Inc. is seeking a Process Technologist to support our quality control, laboratory, and R&D operations at our Belleville facility. This role plays a key role in ensuring product quality, supporting manufacturing processes, and supporting new product development. The ideal candidate has a strong background in chemistry, enjoys hands-on lab and plant support, and thrives in a collaborative manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analysis of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished goods
- Support timely production to meet customer and business requirements
- Develop and maintain analytical methods for inspection and testing
- Assist with new product development and improvements to existing products and manufacturing processes
- Prepare laboratory reagents and maintain calibration and standardization of equipment
- Maintain laboratory instruments, records, and documentation
- Provide analytical support to production, customers, and internal teams
- Support process changes and new product introductions
- Train production personnel on analytical and quality processes
- Coordinate sample analysis and disposition of nonconforming materials
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the QC / technical laboratory
- Provide plant supervision support as required
- Create and update standard manufacturing instructions
- Review raw materials and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for regulatory compliance
