Job Summary : The 10-month International Student Program (ISP) Homestay Coordinator position is responsible for the effective coordination of the homestay function of the International Student Program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Recruit and maintain homestay directory (including advertising interviewing reference checking home visits and inspections)
- Respond to all homestay inquiries from parents agents and community
- Coordinate student orientations (at school or individually)
- Place students in homestays and maintain accurate records with homestay assignments
- Notify stakeholders of changes throughout the year as required
- Meet groups at the airport for arrivals and departures
- Coordinate homestay parent meetings to address any concerns
- Plan activities for homestay families
- Attend and assist ISP events as required
- Maintain files and True North databases as required
- Other duties as assigned by the Director - International Student Program
Required Qualifications :
- Certificate / diploma from a recognized training program
- Commitment to ideals and principles of Catholic education
- A minimum of two years related experience
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel is essential with the ability to easily learn new software programs and maintain databases
- Experience with True North software an asset
- Experience working within a student data system an asset
- Experience with accounting / financials as asset
- Experience with handling confidential information
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with others
- Demonstrated ability to work independently
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Superior organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Weekend and evening availability required
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT :
- As per Collective Agreement
- 3.0 hrs / day (schedule TBD)
- 10month (207days)
- To begin February 1 2026
- Salary range - $26.33 - $30.97 per hour
