At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), our community is dedicated to supporting Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans and their families. We deliver recreation, sports, fitness, financial services, retail, retail savings, discounts and family support along with charity events. Role

Warehouse Manager – Deployed (6 months overseas)

As a civilian deployed with CAF partners in Latvia, you will manage the retail warehouse, develop vendor opportunities, verify delivery, maintain inventory, produce reports, prepare deposits and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management and operation of the warehouse.
  • Develop business opportunities with local vendors and CFMWS retail resources.
  • Receiving and verifying delivery of merchandise.
  • Maintaining inventory records and producing accountability reports.
  • Preparing deposits and supervising warehouse staff.

Qualifications Needed

  • College diploma or certificate in Business Management or related field.
  • Canadian citizenship and valid Canadian passport.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license (Class G or Class 5).
  • Experience

  • Management in a retail environment.
  • Delivering training to employees.
  • Warehouse / logistics management.
  • Using point-of-sale systems and generating / analysing reports.
  • Competencies

    Client focus, organisational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

    Additional Qualifications Prior To Deployment

  • Health, dental and psychosocial assessment completed.
  • Security screening performed.
  • Current CPR And Basic First Aid Qualifications

    Ability to walk and lift, carry, pull or push heavy items.

    Language Requirement

    English – essential.

    Job Information

    Position Type : Civilian deployment contract – 6‑month term, deployment start within next 2 years.

    Hours : Maximum 56 hours per week (includes weekdays and weekends).

    Selection and Training Course

    Successful candidates will attend a multi‑day training and selection course in Halifax, Nova Scotia (April 24–May 3, 2026). The course is fully paid (travel, accommodation, meals). Training will be valid for 2 years.
