Position Overview :
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating CNC programs, setting up and operating machines, and producing precision components according to engineering specifications. Strong programming experience in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop CNC programs for milling and / or turning operations using SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and AutoCAD
- Set up CNC machines, including tooling, fixtures, and work offsets
- Machine precision parts to close tolerances while ensuring high-quality standards
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and CAD models
- Optimize machining processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle times
- Perform regular inspections of parts using measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM data if required)
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues as they arise
- Maintain machine cleanliness and adhere to all safety procedures
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 5 years of CNC machining and programming experienceProficient in SolidWorks (preferred), Fusion 360, and AutoCADStrong understanding of G & M codes, feeds, speeds, and tooling selectionAbility to read complex blueprints and technical drawingsKnowledge of materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steelExperience with 3-axis and / or 5-axis CNC equipment (asset)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAble to work independently and in a team environment#J-18808-Ljbffr
