Technical Lead, Water Treatment Engineer

As part of our continued growth AECOM is seeking a Technical Lead Water Treatment Engineer  to provide technical leadership within our  BC Water Team . Based in any of our three BC offices this role offers the opportunity to shape and lead complex water treatment solutions that support safe resilient and sustainable communities across the province.

This position is ideal for a technically strong engineer who enjoys being a  go-to expert mentoring others and advancing innovative water treatment approaches while ensuring compliance with local provincial and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead the modeling and simulation of water treatment processes utilizing advanced computational tools and techniques.
• Ensure designs comply with all applicable environmental regulations and standards.
• Conduct assessments and identify areas for improvement in existing water treatment systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement innovative water treatment solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project staff.
• Prepare and review technical reports proposals and documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Engage with stakeholders including regulatory agencies clients and community members to discuss project developments and compliance matters.
• Assist with the planning and pursuit of new business opportunities.
• Uses creativity foresight and mature judgment in anticipating and solving unprecedented technical problems.
• Provides visible industry and technical leadership within and outside of AECOM
