Job Description

Under the supervision of the department manager, the operator must adjust the machine, respecting established standards and the order of priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Check that batches of material dedicated to the operation are adequate.
  • Regularly check with the “Buffer Manager” that the order of priority of tasks is adequate and corresponds to the requirements of the production flow according to TOC principles.
  • Communicate with the team leader any anomalies or variants in the product to eliminate from production faulty parts which could be rejected further down the production line.
  • Adjust the machine according to the type of material used.
  • Place parts at the machine infeed and retrieve them at the outfeed.
  • Repeat operation if necessary.
  • Re-arrange parts into batches, ready for the next stage of production.
  • Perform assembly tasks as required.
  • Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • High school diploma, equivalent, or work experience
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a group
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different situations
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to lift and push 50 pounds, 50 times per day
  • Knowledge of the VKS system – an asset
  • Shift Available

  • Day (5am to 3 : 30pm) Monday to Thursday
  • Day (7am to 3 : 30pm) Monday to Friday
  • Evening (3 : 30pm to 2am) Monday to Thursday
  • Evening (3 : 30pm to midnight) Monday to Friday
  • Weekend (6am to 6pm) Friday to Sunday
