Job Duties

Work alongside with production manager and repair planner

Work with and maintain relationships with vendors to locate and order parts

Order parts by phone, online and through body shop management system

Receive parts and inspect for claims quality and accuracy

Ensure timely distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule

Receive, tag and distribute parts immediately upon receipt or by 9 am for overnight deliveries

Receiving and scanning invoices of parts shipments as they arrive, providing them to the repair planner

Supplies Body Shop Technicians with parts as required.

Verify correct parts with a mirror match

Return and re-order incorrect or damaged parts

Coordinating with Technicians and estimator on the supplemental damage

Assists in keeping parts department and shop clean, orderly, and well-stocked

Assists in the detailing process of vehicles when necessary

Places ordered parts on assigned part racks and carts in a timely manner

Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicle.

Post parts and sublet invoices and maintain an accurate accounting record of the part

Keep work area clean and well organized

Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective repair

Other duties deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department

Ability to interpret vendor catalogs

Hold a drivers license, with a clean driving record
