Role Description : Davroc is seeking a qualified Environmental Engineer to join our team in Brampton. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires a licensed Professional Engineer to lead environmental projects, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide expert technical guidance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing environmental site assessments, designing remediation strategies, and navigating complex Ontario environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Environmental Site Assessments & Remediation
- Plan, supervise, and conduct Phase One and Phase Two Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in accordance with O. Reg. 153 / 04.
- Analyze soil and groundwater chemical data; interpret results against Site Condition Standards (SCS) and provide engineering recommendations.
- Design and oversee the implementation of remediation plans for contaminated sites, including brownfield redevelopments and excess soil management (O. Reg. 406 / 19).
- Conduct hydrogeological investigations to assess groundwater flow, quality, and impact.
Regulatory Compliance & Permitting
Ensure industrial, municipal, and construction operations comply with Ontario legislation, including the Environmental Protection Act, Ontario Water Resources Act, and Safe Drinking Water Act.Prepare and manage applications for Environmental Compliance Approvals (ECAs), Permits to Take Water (PTTW), and Environmental Activity and Sector Registry (EASR) registrations.Liaise with regulatory bodies (MECP) and municipalities to secure necessary approvals.Project Management & Technical Leadership
Lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors.Manage project budgets, schedules, and scope to ensure efficient delivery.Provide expert technical advice to stakeholders, ministry staff, and municipal officials.Serve as an expert witness in legal proceedings regarding environmental engineering matters when required.Qualifications
Education & LicensureMust be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.Technical Skills & ExperienceDemonstrated proficiency in Environmental Compliance and Consulting within Ontario.Strong knowledge of waste management practices, excess soil regulations, and hydrogeological principles.Experience interpreting chemical analysis data and writing technical engineering reports.Professional CompetenciesStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary team settings.#J-18808-Ljbffr
