What to Expect :

As the Associate Manager of the Beauty & Fragrance department at Hudson’s Bay, you will have the opportunity to work with Canada’s best assortment of beauty brands! You will lead, manage and inspire a diverse and customer focused team. You will implement initiatives to increase customer loyalty, while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This role directly reports to the Assistant General Manager or General Manager and is a development step to other opportunities throughout the company.

You are actively involved in hiring the right people to share our journey and plan successful strategies to make that happen.

Collaboration – In partnership with Beauty & Fragrance vendors, you drive business success, and leverage demonstrated support for key events and promotions. You coordinate vendor sales & product knowledge training (in person and / or virtually) to develop individual associates and ensure counter team success.

Customer Champion - You create a team environment that ensures exceptional customer service and selling capability by role modeling and providing guidance on selling and service techniques to influence positive performance among the team.

Goal Setting – You possess the ability to pivot ways of thinking and strategy to drive department sales. You will lead and plan beauty services, events and experiences. You utilize sales metrics and analysis to identify and build strategies that enhance the overall performance of the store, ultimately driving consistent results.

Brand Ambassador – You ensure the Hudson’s Bay brand is viewed positively and consistently to the target market. Ensuring that all branding decisions ultimately result in stronger sales by promoting our products and services while focusing on the customer experience.

What You Will Bring to the Team :

Proven retail management experience.

Education and / or hands on experience in make-up artistry.

Comfortability working with various technologies pertaining to an omni-channel environment.

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and / or holidays.
