Role Description

This is a hospital-based position in Powell River, BC, where two full-time adult psychiatrists serve diverse mental health and addiction needs. The role combines outpatient and inpatient work (7-bed psychiatric unit). There is no overhead and no call. Comprehensive allied health care supports are on site, including ACT, ICMT, child psychiatry, counseling, and close collaborative care with family physicians, nurse practitioners and specialists. Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) is provided on site. Applicants with leadership and quality / program improvement experience or training are a bonus. CME and physician leadership education incentives are available.
