Data Engineer (Azure / Databricks)

Location

Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid – twice a week)

Full‑time with Eviden (Atos)

Preferred Qualifications

Azure certifications related to data & analytics. Experience with strong SQL and PL / SQL blocks. Familiarity with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, One Data Lake, Schedulers like Work Load Automation.

Key Responsibilities

• 5-8 years of experience in data engineering with strong expertise in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Spark SQL.
• Hands‑on experience in building scalable ETL / ELT pipelines and transforming large datasets for SQL Server or other storage systems.
• Expertise in SQL, PL / SQL, and performance tuning for large‑scale data workloads.
• Work with job schedulers such as Workload Automation (WLA), Control‑M, or Azure Automation to manage and optimize batch processes.
• Conduct performance tuning while collaborating with the Informatica team to compare test results and perform parallel testing for validation.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to understand complex data systems and deliver optimized solutions.
• Perform performance tuning and ensure high availability and scalability of data workflows.
