This industry-leading aerospace in Downtown Montreal is looking for a Senior Data Scientist.

Additional information :

Contract in consultation

Term : 6 months renewable.

Start date : November 2024

Schedule : (40h / week) - Hybrid 3 days in office

Responsibilities

  • Here are the responsibilities for this Senior Data Scientist at this leader in the aerospace in Downtown Montreal;
  • Develop solutions for real-world, large-scale problems.
  • Work with large amounts of data, including (but not limited to) raw geoscience data, spatial data, raw text data, and financial investment data.
  • Research and test machine learning algorithms to solve various data challenges.
  • Draft reports, create proposals, and give presentations on research and results.
  • Collaborate with a high-performing, collaborative, and diverse team.
  • Bring your enthusiasm for innovation, exploration, and intellectual curiosity to the table.
  • Undertake additional ad hoc assignments and duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Here are the qualifications required for this Senior Data Scientist at this leader in the aerospace in Downtown Montreal;
  • BS / MS in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or other related fields is a must
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in data science or related fields
  • Proficiency in AWS Sagemaker, MLOps
  • Experience writing and understanding Python code
  • Familiarity with version control platforms.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and cleaning (pipelining).
  • Strong knowledge of spatial data analysis and geospatial tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Understanding of aerospace and aviation data is a plus.
