Architectural and Design Sales Representative
Our client is searching for an Architectural and Design Sales Representative to join their team. This role will be responsible for cultivating relationships with architects and designers, ensuring that the company’s products are considered during the design phase of projects. A successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter who can develop and implement strategies to position the company’s products within the architecture and design market.
Your success will be defined by your ability to :
- Follow up on proposals and actively work to secure product specification with architects, designers, and other stakeholders in the Architect and Design community
- Engage with clients to answer questions, provide additional product details, and ensure that all specification requirements are met
- Track and document proposal progress and client feedback, ensuring a smooth follow-up process
- Develop and execute outreach strategies targeting architects and designers to introduce and promote the product offerings
- Conduct presentations, product demonstrations, and lunch-and-learns to educate the architect and design community on the company’s products’ benefits and applications.
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with key A&D firms and influencers to foster ongoing specification opportunities
- Develop and implement processes and resources to strengthen the company’s readiness to engage with the architect and design community effectively
- Collaborate with marketing to create tailored materials and presentations that resonate with architects and designers
- Provide ongoing feedback to product development and marketing teams on market demands, trends, and potential product adaptations to meet the needs of the architect and designer community
- Research market trends within the architectural and design sectors to identify new opportunities for product placement and expansion
- Actively seek out new business opportunities through networking, industry events, and targeted outreach
- Analyze competitive landscape and position out products to highlight unique features that address industry-specific needs
- Maintain strong relationships with architect and design clients, ensuring their specifications are fulfilled and expectations met
- Act as a consistent point of contact for clients, promptly addressing any inquiries or issues that arise
- Collaborate with the internal sales team to ensure successful client onboarding and project execution
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, specifications, and sales activities in the CRM system
- Regularly report on business development efforts, client feedback, and market insights to the Sales Manager
- Ensure all client interactions are documented to support seamless collaboration with internal teams
Your strengths include :
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Architecture or a related fieldProven experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the architecture, design, or building materials industryStrong understanding of sales principles, customer service practices, and familiarity with the architectural design processExcellent organizational and time-management skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
