About the Opportunity :
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist with cardiac experience to join a state-of-the-art medical facility in Milton and Mississauga. This is a chance to work with cutting-edge technology, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the diagnosis and treatment of patients .
You will :
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures using advanced imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals safely according to prescribed protocols
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to review patient histories and interpret scan results
- Provide clear instructions and support to patients, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout procedures
- Process and analyze images using specialized software for accurate measurements and calculations
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient information, and radiation doses in compliance with privacy regulations
- Follow radiation safety guidelines and monitor safety levels within the facility
- Stay current with advancements in nuclear medicine technology and techniques
Required Qualifications :
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with a recognized diploma or degree in OntarioCurrent registration in good standing with the relevant licensing bodyProficiency in nuclear medicine procedures, including bone scans, cardiac stress tests, and PET / CT imagingStrong understanding of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety, and image acquisitionExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively and provide patient-centred careDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyFamiliarity with medical imaging software and computer systems used in nuclear medicineCompensation & Benefits :
