Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Mechanics, Avionics, Structures with Dash 8 Experience Position Profile We are currently recruiting for Aircraft Maintenance Engineers with Q400 and / or Twin Otter type courses (preferred). Duties & Responsibilities Accurately interpret manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, engineering orders, test documents and manufacturer’s installation manuals Repair and fabricate parts as per drawings and standard practices. Have a basic understanding of other aircraft systems. Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanics, structures and avionics systems. Perform system checks and inspections. Keep accurate records of all work performed and maintain inventory of tools and equipment Maintain a clean work area and alert the leadership team of any safety concerns; take immediate action or report immediately any unsafe conditions Responsible for ensuring both accuracy and traceability of parts removed or installed on Aircraft Perform other work as assigned and willing to work shift work Safely operate ground support equipment, i.E., power carts, lifts (when properly trained), etc. as required Education & Experience 5+ years’ experience working on the Dash 8 preferred TC AME license preferred Positive attitude and strong work ethic Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team Basic computer skills and familiarity with Internet Good oral and written communication skills Possess the knowledge expected of an Aircraft Mechanic, Structures Technician or Avionics Technician on aircraft types handled by the Company. Physical Requirements Ability to work 6 days per week Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights Ability to lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to acquire a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC)
