VISION :

SCOPE :

The Registered Nurse (RN) will integrate knowledge from public health sciences, primary health care, nursing science, and the social sciences to promote, protect and preserve the health of Indigenous women and their families. The RN will be responsible for providing safe, quality access to culturally sensitive health care to Indigenous women, their families, and communities, based on each community members individual needs.

The RN will provide support to the provision of health services in a community setting. As directed by the Community Development Manager of Health Programs, the RN will mentor, guide, and provide direction to the RPN staff within their scope of practice. The RN will provide nursing care to attendees at community-based clinics, in the outreach mobile unit, during events. The RN is responsible for developing and facilitating public health teaching and will provide nursing care within the community. The RN will contribute to program development, education and training of staff and community.

The full salary range for this role is $69,900 - $86,230 ONWA conducts annual performance reviews, and employees may be eligible for salary adjustments based on performance outcomes and available funding.
