Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of IT integration activities for business mergers, from initial discovery through post-merger stabilization and support
- Serve as the primary liaison between the merger organization and internal technology teams, chairing regular integration meetings to ensure alignment and accountability
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress across multiple workstreams ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within scope
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Partner with leadership to ensure business functions are aligned with firmwide best practicesCoordinate with Regional IT team members to plan onsite activities, staffing and and travel for cutover weekend execution, and post-merger transition.Planning & Execution
Set-up and manage project documentation and collaboration toolsLead discovery sessions to assess the merging firm’s IT environmentOversee hardware procurement, internet and telephony requirements, and data migration planningCollaborate with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to drive integration tasks, influence stakeholders to meet commitments, and validate system readiness prior to go-liveCutover & Onboarding
Oversee go-live activities (onsite or remote) ensuring systems are fully operational, and provide timely support and escalation to resolve issues as neededDevelop tailored onboarding materials and training for new team members in partnership with regional leadsSupport the transition to standard IT operations, oversee post-merger activities, and provide ongoing guidance and issue resolution as needed to ensure long-term stabilityConduct lessons-learned reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of the M&A processSkills and Experience
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, Microsoft 365, and end-user technologyProven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing multiple concurrent projectsProven experience managing complex IT projectsExceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsPMP or related project management certification is considered an assetWritten and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams / clients across Canada and some client deliverables / regulatory reporting obligation are in English
