Under the general guidance of the Director of Admissions, the Admitted Student Advisor works to ensure a seamless transition into the University by remaining in close communication with admitted students, until they matriculate. The Admitted Student Advisor is responsible for ensuring the transfer credit process, registration, orientation, and relocation are completed and funding is secured in a timely manner.
The Admitted Student Advisor is responsible for meeting enrollment goals by 1) ensuring each student is aware of and meeting enrollment requirements, 2) acting as a liaison between the student and all student service departments and faculty, and 3) assisting incoming students with overcoming any obstacles to matriculation.
The Admitted Student Advisor is also responsible for maintaining accurate student records by entering new and updating current information in a timely manner in the University’s customer relationship management database (CRM). The Admitted Student Advisor will ensure completed records are received by the Registrar’s office after the start of the term.

Applicant Engagement : 60%
- Provide proactive outreach to ensure incoming students remain engaged with Adler University through the start of classes.
- Plan and execute new student engagement events designed to mitigate melt.
- Assign a current student mentor to each prospective student to provide an additional layer of support.
- Collaborate with student organizations to welcome incoming students and foster a sense of community and engagement.
- Train students on how to access University systems to ensure success within their program.
- Assess which prospective students are eligible for transfer credit and assist them in completing the review process.
- Assist incoming students with the selection and registration of first term classes.
- Follow up with prospective students to ensure orientation is completed in a timely manner and any outstanding admissions documents are received.
- Assist incoming students with relocation to the Chicago and Vancouver areas by providing information and resources as needed.
- Manage all admitted student social media outlets and create dynamic content to keep incoming students engaged.
Applicant Records Management : 15%
Gather any outstanding documents needed to start classes.Maintain accurate and updated records of all student communication and documents.Monitor incoming student progress through day 10 of their first term.Ensure applicant records are sent to Registrar in a timely fashion.Cross Departmental Collaboration : 15%
Collaborate with Registrar’s Office and Program Directors to ensure sufficient course availability of required courses for incoming class.Work with Financial Aid and Student Accounts to ensure student funding is secured.Collaborate with all other University departments to ensure incoming students understand all University policies, requirements, and resources.Other : 10%
Participate in weekly team meetings, by informing conversations related to trends identified within the enrollment funnel.Maintain an advanced working knowledge of Adler programs, policies, processes, and admissions requirements.Develop an ongoing professional development plan to remain up to date on industry standards.Other duties as assigned.Note : the allocation of time may vary slightly from campus to campus.
Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred1-3 years of experience in admissions, higher education, or a sales environmentWork Environment (Physical Demands) : The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. This position is located on our Vancouver campus and may be eligible for hybrid work.
Expected Salary Range : $45,000 - $55,000 CAD
