Opportunity
Position : Clinic Supervisor
Summary : We are seeking a Clinic Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day general operations of one of our fast paced Spay, Neuter and Wellness Clinics. With a passion for shelter medicine and operations management, this position will oversee a team of dedicated Receptionists and Veterinary Technicians in a high-volume clinic setting. The Supervisor actively leads and coordinates daily assignments, staff scheduling, daily huddles, and animal intakes. You will provide training, guidance and direction to a team of dedicated employees eager to fulfill upon our purpose.
A Typical Day
Supervise, coach, and motivate employees, ensuring efficient operations of the clinic.Lead and delegate reception and administration duties, including greeting the public for animal intake, answering phones and animal discharge.Provide guidance to and aid clinic staff including RVTs with daily responsibilities including but not limited to, cleaning and routine animal care.Assist veterinarian with animals with surgical and wellness procedures.Work under the direction of the Operations Manager to schedule the surgical team and ensure proper staffing levels are in place.Oversee preparation and administration of medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian.Observe and monitor handling, restraint and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery using low stress and fear free techniques.Provide accurate record keeping and documentation.Maintain accurate supply of medication inventory.Direct and re‑redirect the work and daily distribution of tasks to centre team utilizing pre‑established task lists of processes and procedures.Coach performance related to general operations and escalate any issues to the Operations Manager.Supervise all volunteers, co‑op placements, and summer students.Conduct training with clinic staff.Set up for Success!
Relevant employment experience in a veterinary clinic as a Registered Veterinary TechnicianMember of good standing with OAVTPrevious surgical experience and strong knowledge of animal care1-3 years of supervisory and / or leadership experience1 year of customer service experience in a fast‑paced environmentExcellent communication skillsComputer literate with a working knowledge of MS Office applications and POS systemClerical and / or office administration experience an assetMust have open availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift 18 kg (40lbs) and control 45 kg (100lbs)Valid G drivers’ license with the ability to provide a clear driver’s abstract#J-18808-Ljbffr
