We are seeking skilled IT professionals to join our exceptionally talented team. Roles include :
- Business Systems Analyst - Reporting (1 position)
- Business Systems Analyst (multiple positions)
The Business Systems Analyst is responsible to provide solutions to business needs that merge business process and software configuration. The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) will work in partnership with the business external vendors and other team members to discover and document business needs and to design configure and test smart solutions using one or many of the integrated enterprise software solutions in use at the NSLC.

Essential Responsibilities :
Directly and with other members of the Business Unit / organization analyze design implement and test Enterprise application and data related software solutions to meet the strategic objectives of the organizationResearch and recommend solutions related to business process application and / or data related issuesDevelop effective relationships with representatives of the organizations Business Units to ensure software solutions effectively meet business needs and strategic initiativesFacilitate and negotiate to arrive at business process and / or business system solutions with internal customers and external business partnersWork effectively with third-party vendors of software and services to coordinate and manage implementation tasksDevelop and document application design and / or change specificationsRecommend apply and follow software implementation best practicesDevelop and execute plans to implement application updates or replacementsMonitor and stay current in the evolving fields of data modeling retail industry software industry best practices and Information Technology and business management best practicesSecondary Responsibilities :
Participate with other Information Technology staff in a team environment to achieve IT departmental objectives. Follow NSLC IT policies and protocols. Recommend and execute improvements to NSLC IT practices.Act to ensure the smooth transition of implementation to operationsTransfer knowledge to other Business Systems Analysts in areas of technology and business processManage change to Business Units associated with software implementation. Develop and deliver impact assessments training materials communications and presentations.Identify opportunities for improvement related to business process and technologyOther related duties and responsibilities as assigned; occasional travel within and outside the province as requiredWhat youll need
Qualifications
As a qualified candidate you will have :
3 - 5 years of experience working as a Business Systems AnalystA University degree or equivalent in IT and / or Business combined with IT and / or relevant disciplineFamiliarity with standard Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) concepts and practicesHands-on experience in an integrated ERP environment ideally in SAP.Experience in requirements gathering and documentationExperience in functional specifications definition and documentationExperience in testing strategies and procedures and documentationStrong written verbal and presentation communications skillsYou will stand out if you have :
ERP-level experience in any of the following in an applied business context : functional configuration data analysis report creation system-to-system interface design and development software architecture design and software implementation.Business process and data modelingExperience with Reporting & Analytics with Data Warehouse solutions such as SAP BW / SAP Datasphere or SAP BDC and / or Data Visualization software such as SAP SACExperience with retail technologiesExperience with SAP S4 HANAAn alternate combination of education and experience may be considered equivalent.
