Job Description:
Our client within investment management requires a Private Client Service Associate to join their team. This role will support a Portfolio Manager and the team in delivering exceptional service to high-net-worth and high-profile clients. This role combines relationship management support, portfolio administration, operational execution, and scheduling within a collaborative team environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, professionalism, and a client-first mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of client account documentation, onboarding, transfers, and ongoing updates
- Process account-related transactions, including cheques, wires, contributions, and disbursements
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation in CRM systems
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure seamless execution and compliance
- Prepare daily, quarterly, and annual client reporting packages, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage complex scheduling and meeting coordination for the Private Client Principal
- Collaborate with other Private Client team members to ensure team coverage and operational continuity
- Support recurring operational tasks and adapt flexibly to business needs, including peak periods
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the investment industry as a Private Client Associate or similar role
- IIROC Registered Representative (RR) designation required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Canadian Securities Course (CSC®) completed; PFP® or CFP designation an asset
- In-depth knowledge of private client investment products and account procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Outlook, CRM, and portfolio management systems (experience with D1g1t or ISM is an asset)
- Personable, discreet, and experienced in working with high-net-worth and high-profile clients
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
- Highly dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Willingness to provide operational flexibility and team coverage when required
