Senior Manager, Investment Lifecycle
The opportunity
The Senior Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and continuous enhancement of the Investment Lifecycle processes supporting the Investment Division and for continuing the transformation of the Investment Lifecycle Management function in line with best practices.
You will collaborate with internal partners, including providing the subject matter requirements of the Investment Lifecycle Management (ILM) team, to document, manage and drive business insights that measure effectiveness.
Emphasizing on delivering efficient and effective investment execution, you will ensure enhancement of supporting applications in partnership with technology teams, and be empowered to make decisions ensuring delivery of a reliable digital client experience and value-add insights.
The position provides leadership in these areas supporting the Director, ILM as a primary point of contact for third-parties and ensure for resolution of issues. This includes design, implementation, and monitoring of service KPIs and working with application support teams (both internal and external) to resolve issues and optimize technologies to drive speed and agility related to third-party investment management activities.

Actively collaborates with ILM, internal investment, and functional groups, business application owners and users, and information technology stakeholders to support the efficiency and effectiveness of investment lifecycle management function.
Relationship management and interface directly within OTPP and with third parties, with oversight of key strategic non-asset management partners.
What you'll do
The Senior Manager plays a significant role for actioning insights, including the continuous monitoring of dashboards and delivery of timely, accurate reports and provides recommendations to ensure processes are efficient and provide consumer value to the Investments teams.
An essential part of this role is to direct the design and implementation of tactical solutions leveraging a broad range of innovative tools and concepts and to lead projects and meetings in relation to major third-party incident management ensuring complete resolution.
This role provides thought leadership to an internal team of deal-related consumers, recommending best practices and leveraging quantitative analytics capabilities to achieve continuous value. You will provide oversight on application and / or file testing and maintenance and will be key in ensuring the quality and reliability of processes and analytics provided to the internal users.
Partner with internal teams and investment leads to develop tactical improvements aligned with strategy. Apply Lean processes, identify Shift to the Left opportunities, and develop business intelligence insights. Interact with Investments internal partners to help frame use cases and define success metrics.
Lead a motivated team to support transaction execution in collaboration with internal / external partners, acting as a backup resource for day-to-day transactions execution. Also, function as a backup and / or delegate for decision making on behalf of Director of ILM.
Continue to enhance and further develop existing business solutions and dashboards, collaborating with IT resources for quick implementation of tactical automations and front-end solutions to enhance end-user experiences.
Directs, plans, and controls all activities and internal / external stakeholders for major investments incident remediation. This includes negotiating outcomes and decision making in consultation with Director, ILM.
Acts as a catalyst for transformation, enterprise-wide collaboration, including with external stakeholders and new capability development / info sharing within ILM.
Supports Director with operationalizing new services / support models and managing pipeline of initiatives. Holds regular team Scrum / Project Standups when required.
Accountable for evaluating the benefits, costs and risks associated with the delivery of investment lifecycle management support and process improvements.
Continuously evolve the ILM design processes, including experimentation and staying abreast of emerging technologies

Develop and foster relationships with key senior partners both within OTPP and external.

What you'll need
Undergraduate Degree in Business (eg. Finance, Economics)
CFA or other Financial or Risk Management designations
PMP or other Project Designations are an asset.
Knowledge of Data, Computer, Engineering, or similar field is an asset
Strong understanding of Investments and Investments Lifecycle
Strong Mathematical and Quantitative Analysis skills, Critical Thinking
Well versed with technology / CRM databases, able to adapt and apply to a large variety of problems / solutions.
Proficiency with Data Science concepts, Data Management
Well versed with data visualizations (Power BI)
Advance User of Microsoft Suite / Microsoft Power Apps
Strong Communications
Entrepreneurial Spirit
10+ years of relevant experience
Experience with leading and / or execution of investment operations.
Experience with developing Management Reporting and / or Business Intelligence Insights
Experience and versatility in product owner or developing applications.
Understanding of Big Data, Machine Learning, NLP, Robotic Desktop Automations to ideate use cases.
