We are seeking a results-driven sales professional to expand PERI’s market share within the Building Segment. In this role, the Technical Sales Consultant will identify and engage potential customers, building and maintaining strong relationships with general / formwork contractors, architects, developers, and other key stakeholders. Leveraging your technical background and engineering expertise, you will play an integral role in securing projects across commercial, residential, and institutional construction, including malls, retail developments, residential housing, high-rises, low-rises, schools, and hospitals. You bring a proven track record in territory management and business development, ideally within the construction industry, and a strong ability to translate technical solutions into customer value.

What you'll do on a typical day :

  • Be a trusted advisor to industry stakeholders. Provide technical and market expertise, while demonstrating the value of our products and services.
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate long-term relationships with industry contacts to secure both current and future projects in the Building Segment.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations to key clients and prospects.
  • Enhance market position by answering technical questions and creating or adjusting approaches to meet market needs.
  • Negotiate contracts using a consultative approach that achieves win-win outcomes and maximizes customer and project value.
  • Manage the Offer-to-Cash process.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of upcoming and active projects within the CRM, building a solid pipeline.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to stay informed of trends, understanding the political, economic, and competitive landscape impacting your territory.
  • Provide post-sales support and coordinate with service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful :

  • Post-secondary education (degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field preferred) or equivalent field experience in the construction industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Business Development or Project Management, ideally managing large projects or key clients.
  • Experience in the construction and / or formwork industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office : Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Capacity to read structural drawings is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret structural drawings is an asset.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve customers' issues, mitigate objections, and offer solutions.
  • Excellent active listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and build relationships.
  • Self-disciplined and comfortable with a remote working environment.
  • Ability to work alone but also contribute to the team.
