Arctic Kingdom and Blachford Lake Lodge are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Blachford Lake Lodge, a remote wilderness resort outside of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. This is a full-season position, not a fly-in / fly-out role, and involves cooking for both guests and seasonal staff.

As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to deliver high-quality, from-scratch meals in a unique and inspiring northern setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute service for three meals per day under the direction of the Head Chef
• Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch services
• Assist with food preparation and menu execution
• Bake breads, buns, and baked goods daily
• Prepare meals from scratch using fresh ingredients
• Cater to a wide range of dietary restrictions and preferences
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and pantry
• Contribute to all aspects of kitchen operations, including cleaning and dish duties as needed
• Feed both guests and staff throughout the season

Days can be long (810 hours), up to 6 days per week, depending on guest volume and operational needs. As we like to say : days are long, but years are shortthis role offers a truly unforgettable experience living and working in the pristine Canadian North.

Compensation includes competitive seasonal wages, room and board, transportation to and from Yellowknife.
